Description: Alternative splicing removes the PDZ-binding motif of Isoform 7.5kb of Synaptojanin-2 (Synj2), abrogating binding to Synaptojanin-2-binding protein (Synj2bp). Isoform 7.5kb of Synaptojanin-2 (Synj2) (Synaptojanin 2A) is recruited to mitochondria through the interaction with the PDZ domain of the mitochondrial outer membrane protein Synj2bp.
