Switch #:
SWTI000021
Switch type:
Binary
Switch subtype:
Physicochemical compatibility

Description:
Phosphorylation of T2511 in the degron of Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 1 (NOTCH1) induces binding to the F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 7 (FBXW7) protein, which recruits it to the SCF ubiquitin ligase complex where it is marked for degradation.

Participants:
(1) Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 1 (NOTCH1)
(2) F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 7 (FBXW7)

Interactions
Interaction #1 NOTCH1 - FBXW7

Interfaces
(1) DEG_SCF_FBW7_2 motif (2508PFLTPSPE2515) in Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 1 (NOTCH1)
(2) WD domain, G-beta repeat (371-407) and (411-447) and (451-487) and (491-527) and (531-567) and (571-607) and (611-650) in F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 7 (FBXW7)

Interaction Regulation
PTM-dependent Induction (Phosphorylation of T2511 on Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 1 (NOTCH1)) of the Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 1 (NOTCH1) DEG_SCF_FBW7_2 motif - F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 7 (FBXW7) WD domain, G-beta repeat interaction
