Description: Phosphorylation of T130 in the PLK-docking motif of M-phase inducer phosphatase 3 (CDC25C) by Cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1)-Cyclin AB subfamily generates a recruitment site for Serine/threonine-protein kinase PLK1 (PLK1), which then phosphorylates M-phase inducer phosphatase 3 (CDC25C). This results in inactivation of the NES of M-phase inducer phosphatase 3 (CDC25C), thereby promoting its nuclear localization.
Participants: (1) M-phase inducer phosphatase 3 (CDC25C) (2) Serine/threonine-protein kinase PLK1 (PLK1)
